WTB: Good Low Mileage S4 Engine, or Place to Fix Current Engine
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and new to Audi's as well. My friend is letting me fix his S4 and drive it for the time being, so I need some information. We're guessing the timing belt snapped, so I either need a place I could trust that is somewhat cheap in price that will fix the engine and also fix anything else that has a problem or has potential to have a problem in the near future. Also, if you have an Audi S4 engine with low mileage in great condition that will go into a 2000 S4, let me know cause I might just pop in another engine rather than waste time and money trying to fix this one. What do you guys think is a better and cheaper path? Thanks a bunch for the help beforehand guys....

By the way: I live in SoCal, so if you know of a place to fix the car where I can trust that comes with some type of warranty with their work, that'd be cool....thanks

Hey I use a local shop (not AUDI) in Highland Park. They have tuned my turbos, replaced tranny, motor mounts and a couple of other issues. Good prices and he loves S4s. Give him a call....
