I am selling an Ipod install piece for a B6 A4. The piece was purchased from 2point5 industries a few months ago but was never installed into the actual car. The parts have not been removed from box or bag, used, and have not been tampered with. The hook up will replace your ashtray and run to the back of your stereo as a flush hookup and will play through the stock stereo. Includes instructions and all hardware needed. I assume it is the dock that goes in the ashtray?

Yes, the dock replaces the insert that acts as an ashtray.

Certainly! I chose not to use the dock because I was planning on installing it but just before I did, I ended up selling the car for personal reasons and so now, I have a docking station for a B6 A4, but no A4 to install it into. Haha. As I mentioned before though, none of the parts have been removed from packaging or tampered with in any way. I still have the original packaging the dock was sent to me in from 2point5.

I noticed this is the RCA version of the unit (Blitz or whomever makes it).

Does this mean that when docked, you will still have control of the iPod from it's scrollwheel?

 

Yes. The Ipod is still controlled from the scrollwheel as far as I know.

There might be another way to hook it up in order to control it through the actual stereo, but as I said, I wouldn't know anything about that.
