2003 A4 1.8TQ $3k feeler
It's time to sell my 2003 A4 1.8T, tiptronic, quattro. Car has 115k on it. I am asking $3000 OBO. The car will be available after July 4th weekend.
Car and Options: The car is silver over black leather, has the sport package (5 spoke, 17" rims) cold weather package (heated seats, ski sack pass through), BOSE premium sound with in-dash 6 disc CD changer, still has the original first aid kit and emergency triangle, full size spare in trunk.
The good: All services up to date with all records for the last 6 years I've owned it. Timing belt done around 80k, regular oil changes with full synthetic 5W-40, valve cover gaskets, rear diff seals, rear transmission seal, wiper motor and transmission arm, NGK platinum plugs, newest revision coil packs, new radiator (original had a pinhole leak),coolant temp sensor, pirelli p7s with about 10k miles on them so there is plenty of tread left. No MILs or other warning lamps illuminated.
Extras: Plenty of spare bulbs to come with the car, will throw in my knock off VAGCOM cable, Carbonio carbon fiber intake, LED license plate lights, Thule fitkit 1212 anchors for a roof rack.
The bad: Body has minor scratches (it's been a daily driver its whole life) and should clean up nicely with a good wax and clay bar. Paint is maybe a 7-8/10. Rims have a bit of curb rash. Lower front (plastic) bumper has a scuff on it. Headliner is failing in the rear, but can be remedied. Turbo has a flutter when you let off the gas so the turbo will have to be serviced. Currently tests with no vacuum or boost leaks, and spools up to stock psi.
Verdict: If you are mechanically inclined, you can work on the turbo on your own, remove it and send it out for a rebuild (most budget friendly option), or upgrade to a K04 and build a nice performer. If you opt to have the turbo replaced for you, this might be a nice way to come in a little under your used car budget.
Location: The car is located in Maynard, MA, just about 20 miles west of Boston. Send me a PM here or respond to the post if you're interested. The car will also be in Binghamton, NY after July 2nd for a few weeks.
Pictures to come
