I am driving about 45k miles per year and while the A3 is a blast to drive, I have not found it very comfortable for long trips. Particularly dissappointing has been the lack of lumbar support or adjustment thereof in the driver's seat. At the time I bought it I had a different job and was not driving nearly as much. I want something bigger and more comfortable, but also want to keep operating costs down. I have some leeway in deciding what vehicle to get next. For the type of work I do, it needs to be relatively low key (An A6 or 5 series BMW would not go over well). I am thinking an Acura TL w/nav, which can be had right now for about $33k.
