I'm currently sitting on a B6 S4 with engine failure. I need a working used 4.2 V8 from B6/B7 with updated and preferably newer timing chain set, accessories not needed but would be nice to have.

Price is negotiable, will need it shipped/delivered to me.

Have you tried to look in Chicago criagslist? There is a guy in nw Indiana that is always parting out s4's. Last time I called he had a new (3) running 4.2's. If you need his number let me know. BTW if I had some money laying around i'd ****** your s4 up. I browse the U.P. CL every so often and seen your's.

 

Tell you what, i live in ft wayne and there is a company called i-80 auto parts in gary,in. Salvage recyclers got my 4.2 from them it came from a 02 a8 put into my 01 a6 104,000 miles delivered to my house for 1200 bucks. The car was rear ended no damage to front of car but when they delivered it they crushed oil pan. Luckly i robbed one off my blown motor.
