ive got a 01 quattro and it has some sort of sport suspension on it cuz it sits waaaay lower than any other 01 a4 ive seen. anyway ive been running the 15" a6 wheel and am pretty ticked off because when i bought the car it had the 7-spoke 17" TT wheels on it. they werent on the car in the picture when i saw it-but when i got it, it had them. anyway the tires are 225/45-17 and ive already replaced the full set of tires 4x in 2 yrs. problem is the inner side walls are getting annhilated by something but when i feel behind the wheel and look under the car theres about a 1/2-3/4" gap between any suspension part. was also told that these tires are too wide for the car and are the reason my MPG's are literally ****. horribly bad. thinking about running a 205 or something but not to sure just yet, anyone know whats goin on here??

 

This is the classifieds but the problem is a alignment issues it is toe camber wear get it straightened at a shop and throw them back on. Also 225 is fine I run a 235 35 19 hope this helps

 

yea man i apologize for posting in the wrong spot. i dont really know what i was dfoing but after i had realized i posted in the wrong thread location. on the other note-thank you for the info. im going to look into getting an alignment done. any idea how much ill be looking at? again man-sorry and thanx

 

4 wheel alignment should be approx $100-150. much less than the price of a set of tires.
