I'm a new A3 owner... sorry for the ignorance, but I've been searching and searching and just not quite found the answer to two questions about the A3 lighting system that I have.

1) My A3 does NOT have the factory Fog Lights or Light Switch w/ Fog position. I found on oemplus.org that I can order a new Light Switch that has the Fog position on it (as well as 'Auto') as well as the fog light kit. Are these the only things I need to add fog lights -- or will there be wiring thats missing?

*additionally, if I get the one with the 'Auto' position, will that simply do nothing... or would it actually function?

2) I've got the 'normal' headlights... not HID, not Xenon. I'm interested in upgrading the headlights to a set of HIDs, but I'm not willing to spend the $$$ to get the factory kits. Can anyone attest to the build quality of the 'Devil Eyes' light housings?

In addition, if I wanted to do an HID upgrade... how do the aftermarket ones work? Are they decent enough, or am I better off just getting a pair of good stock-fitting light bulbs?
