07 A3 2.0 Sline rims
Could anyone simplify this issue that has an 06 or 07 with custom rims BUT NO suspension mods whatsoever? I want to order an ibis white 07 2.0 SLine and every time I ask the dealer to order it with 18 or 19 inch factory rims, they claim they won't fit!?!?! I see pics and posts of many here with 18s and 19s, but wonder why the dealer is telling me I'm stuck with 17s unless I go to aftermarket. Why the diff?
Anyway, can you direct me to any members pics with custom rims, either audi copies or bbs style so I can see what they look like in real life, not that tirerack.com type cybercar!?
THanks!

I don't think that you can order a car with factory option wheels. Go to Audi's USA website, look under A3 accessories, and check out their factory option 18's. I think what you have to do is order them through parts, and work out what you can with the dealer. Several aftermarket suppliers (autowebaccessories.com) sell these wheels at a discount
I have an 07 Ibis white S line 2.0, and I've played with wheels a bit. Stock wheel offset is 56. For 17 and 18 inch by 7.5 wheels, about a 42-45 offset is as low a number as you want to go using 225/45 x17, or 225/40 x 18 tires. I have a set of S4 17 x 7.5 wheels that are 43 offset, and the tires don't rub ( barely). If you want to go with 8 inch wide wheels and/or 235 tires, you'd better go to 48 - 50 offset. These are general guidelines, post back if you need more specific info, or call Skyler at Hartmann wheels; he's pretty good.

Hi All-
The 14-spoke wheel option called "PQS" has been discontinued at the factory and the new 5-spoke model is called "CU7" using Audi parts terminology. It is an 18" rim with 235/40 tires.
