I have the ipod adpater. I have the upgraded(Bose) stereo package, no nav.

Here is an example of what I am experiencing:

If I am listening to playlist #7, turn the car off, start car again, the music starts where it left off but now it is on playlist 12. It ALWAYS goes to playlist 12 no matter what playlist it was on when the car was turned off. 12 is for the entire library is it not? Why does this happen?

I had the radio replaced and the new one still does it. Is it a problem with my ipod, perhaps?

I think that is just how the radio functions. I had the stock setup for a short period of time and it worked the same way.
