Did any one take their car for the 10,000miles service? I called in to most of the dealerships to set up an appointment for the 10,000 miles service, and they told me it's not required for the 10,000 miles, but definitely at 15,000 miles. I thought the car has to be brought in for service at every 5000 miles.

 

I went for my 5000 mile service yesterday.. i was talkin to the guys and they said its not required but is recommended if you are going to keep the car for more than a few years. I only got my car 5 weeks ago and now i have 6300 miles

 

same here..I just got the car for 10 weeks and I'm already close to my 10,000 miles.

 

Take a hard look at your drivers manuals. The first service should be at 5000 miles then every 10000 miles after that. So the intervals should be 5, 15, 20, 25 etc. I think you will have to pay out of pocket if you do it every 5000miles after that first initial service.

You don't need to do service on the car every 5k miles. Just make sure to use a very good synthetic oil and it will run 10k between services without any issues. The TDI engine is the same way and a whole lot dirtier than the 2.0T.
