I've owned a 1.9L TDI previously and it was a friggin blast to drive. I upgraded the injectors, exhaust, intake and had stage III software. Just stepping on the fuel pedal made your butt press hard in the seat, and I enjoy driving by the seat of my pants! Also, it still got 42mpg with my foot in it, and maintanence was super simple.

BTW, I would give my left nut for an A3 with the 3.0 TDI engine. That would be a MONSTER!
