Ok, here's the deal. The Multi Function Display on my sons 2006 A3 3.2 S-line goes out and the battery then begins to drain. If we remove the ground from the battery, wait a few minutes then put it back, the MFD then works again for a random short amount of time then goes out and the whole cycle starts over. After doing some googling I found that one possible cause could be the gauge cluster. So i purchased a used gauge cluster and had it cloned. Put the replacement gauge cluster in and the same issue still persists. Any help diagnosing this would be of greatly appreciated.
