Hi, I'm contemplating replacing the stock radio in my 2008 Audi A3 and have a couple questions I can't seem to find the answers for:

1 - Where can I get the key tools to pull out the radio?

2 - If I went with an aftermarket radio with DVD Nav, ipod connect and bluetooth (i.e. - pioneer, etc.) will I be able to connect it to the steering wheel controls (i.e. - bluetooth, volume control, etc.)?

Any clarity on this would be great, as the only information I can find pertains to older models of the A3 prior to the 2008.

Now I know to keep the stereo controls there is an interface peace that you will have to get depending on your head unit. You will have to also get a special double din face plate to fill in the gaps from the aftermarket head unit.

Hey, could you please post pictures after you do so? I want to get an idea as to how "clean" or "factory" it can look. I am very happy currently w/ my bose system however not having bluetooth or ipod integration is a pain in the a$$.

 

i would recommend the pioneer AVIC-F90BT
the interface of the system and built in i-pod and bluetooth is very nice
there is 32,000 colors to choose from to match your audi look
i am going to get that installed soon on my a3
