2010 A3 Nav System
Hi All,
I'm about to buy an A3 TDI this weekend and was wondering if anyone has the current Nav System and would recommend it?
What little I've seen on the net so far just says: "Difficult to use".
I currently have a touch screen in-dash Nav system in my Civic and find it fairly easy to use, even though it's outdated now.
I don't want to spend the $2050 on this option only to hate it.
Any advice out there?
Thanks

I thought they said the MMI is the most intuitive of the **** operated factory nav units. Even though non-touch screen nav units might be slightly harder to use (especially when entering addresses), it is alot safer to operate, w/o the need to look at what you are going to press (buttons have texture along with tactile feedback) (no touchscreens on any fighter/passenger jets, regardless how much movies hype touchscreen in sci-fi movies). The main advantage of the factory nav unit is that it displays vital information in the central Drivers Information System between the speedo and tach. The next turn indicator, distance to next turn are all there.
But then, the A3's nav unit is the least updated unit in Audi's line, with the 2010 line having only a higher resolution screen and maybe more enhanced interfaces to ipod, etc. You could go for a lower cost option of buying the unit from a reseller instead of the dealer.
