so I have a 2010 s4 prestige with the b&o sound system. last night I was driving to get dinner the car was fine, turned the car off, got dinner, and got back in, and out of nowhere, ALL the sound was redirected to one speaker (driver rear-ish). it did this on the dvd player, radio, ipod, hard drive, every sound source, BUT the nav system still worked and spoke normally. if I muted it, it was all quiet, but one click up and that speaker BLASTED. however, if I turned the sound up further, it did not get any louder. there was no other sound coming from any other speaker, just one in the driver rear.

I turned the car off and back on, still doing it.

any idea why this happened??

 

This happened to me about a year ago, once, and it went away. Just happened again this morning. Turned the car off, on, still the same. Hoping it "goes away" again, like it did before. What was the result of your sound system?

 

Honestly, if it's a 2010, I would assume its still under warranty. Let the dealer figure it out on their own dime.
