Hi folks, first time Audi owner and poster so please be gentle with me. i have been looking into upgrading the radio on my 2012 UK Spec Black Edition A3 with the Bose stereo system. I have googled endlessly and found many a contradiction so am a little confused...

I would like to upgrade the standard black edition radio to a colour screen sat nav variety and include an Ipod connector. I know I could have bought them as extras but to be quite honest the extra prices from Audi were extortionate so I thought I would find a cheaper way to do it.

Can anyone offer any advice about the process, potential pitfalls or point me in the right direction.

there have been people who have done this retrofit ---- search the forums and i think there's a DYI write up. it's possible to do - just need the parts and might need a vag-com
