Default 3.2 timing chain

First and foremost,,, Hello
Looking for info on timing chain stretch.
I got a 2005 A3 3.2 which is doing my head right in The rev range is full of flat spots, the performance is well down and its throwing up hall sender and MAF sensor faults even though i've changed em for brand new genuine parts.
If i hook up the computer and clear the codes the engine manegment light comes on within a few minutes of been driven again.
Been told its probably timing chain stretch ( 73k miles ) throwing the sensors out, which is bad enough, but also been told that the stretch can be / is caused by the oil pump goin dodgy and creating too higher oil pressure and stretching the chain.
Found some info in german but i ain't german lol.
Anybody on here know of this problem or of any solid information?
I'm sure you can imagine i'm not looking forward to the bill for havin the pump and chains + tensioners etc done, especially as i'm not overly convinced that its the problem.

I've took it to a few other garages and played dumb just to see what they come up with but they always end up transfixed on the sensor problems and then when i say they've been done already they either dont have a clue or think i'm talking rubish lol.
So anyone got a clue?
This is my third Audi in a row thats done my head in, beggining to loose the faith

it would be hard to stretch chains, you would throw a fault if the timing was off. the guide rails can break, as they are made of plastic. you should be able to hear the chains if you have a broken guide rail, it will sound like marbles in a can.
