It is bad to run your tank completely empty because all the crud in the bottom of the tank will clog up your fuel pump and injectors. Once in a great while shouldn't be a problem (sometimes it just can't be helped) but you shouldn't run it to empty at every fill-up.

 

Dam...i've never seen 400 on mine city or freeway. It has to be me...or the car.

 

I have never seen more than 500kms on mine....will not get any better next month when I have to do more than 3000kms of german autobahn[sm=lol.gif]

 

Drivin in L.A. + I only hit the freeways maybe on the weekend. I can't expect to hit the high 400s - not even close. (My A3 is just warming up when I pull into work in the morning. I spend the whole day jonesing to go off driving somewhere)
But I am noticing that my mpg is increasing now that I've broken 2500mi.
