Default 80,000 miles service

Does ANYONE know whats exactly needs to be done/checked/replaced/topped-up on a 80,000 miles service for an Audi A3 1.9 TDi Diesel?????

Its not that I want to do it myself or anything but just so i can compare it to what was done (or supposed to have been done) previously at 60,000 miles.

Ive asked around and NO ONE seems to either know or just doesnt want to tell...weird! Someone PLEASE HELP!!!

I know exactly what needs to be done...A LOT!!! I'll assume that you have a 2003+ vehicle for this answer, otherwise if you have a 2002-, then the timing belt, etc. should have been done then. You need to have a normal "tune-up" with replacing the fuel, oil, and both air filters. You should have your fuel lines check and changed as well as the brakes, boots, etc. The big thing that needs done is your timing belt. This is something that is very tricky and needs to be done by someone very competent that has done many many TDI belts before. A LOT of dealerships mess up this part and will screw up your engine!!! You need to have your belt replace with the new 100k mile belt and your tensioner and roller replaced with the new spec. Also, have them replace your water pump in the process. It will be an extra few bucks that you won't have to worry about half-way through the life of your next belt. Make sure that they graph your injection timing at the top of the chart and ask to see the graph for yourself. I don't trust the dealerships or anyone that won't show me this. If your timing is in the "acceptable" range, but on the low side, you'll have some cold start issues, especially in the winter. Mileage and engine performance will also be enhanced at the top end of the graph.

Good luck and PM me if you need better specifics.

Cheers!
