Does anyone else have a problem with the excessive noise when you have the rear window open and driving over 30kmh?
I have found I can't open the windows as the thumping noise is so bad it starts to physically hurt your ears.

I've owned a lot of cars and never heard anything as bad as this. It doesn't matter if you have one window or both open in the back, the noise is just excessive. I was interested in hearing from other A3 owners to see if they have similar problems before I approach my dealer.

Is some kind of fault? Do I need to talk to the dealer?

Yep, it makes one hell of a noise and is more severe than my previous Astra. It must be to do with the design as I also noticed that when driving in the rain, water will pour in on the driver side and fill the gap where the elec window buttons are. This never happened with my Opel and thus "different strokes for different cars". Still, whilst irritating, Audi still wins hands down.

The cars in for a service in the next three weeks and I'll put the problem to the dealer and see what they say. I think I read somewhere that it is possible to put deflectors on the wing mirrors.
