Recently I have come across an intermittent problem with the blowers in my car, I regularly do 5+ hour commutes and the air con in the car just isn't working properly, it will work ok for 10-20 minutes and then there is just no pressure coming from the vents at all. if I switch the system off completely for 20minutes and switch back on it works fine but again only for 10-20 minutes, I am sure I can still here the motor working and by the sounds of it it runs even when the pressure drops but the output from the vents just dies. I have cleaned out the little fan that draws in air from the cabin (it was full of dust and fluff) but still no joy, New pollen filter fitted and I am fast running out of ideas...

this problem occurs both with the system set to hot or cold.

are there any suggestions or similar experiences please?

Do you use the AC on AUTO setting? If so, it could be that at some point the AUTO setting decides to route air to the upper vents near the windshield. I have had this happen to me and I just forced the air to the front vents by pressing the vent button.
