Default A3 cooling hose flange issues

Has anyone else had a cooling hose flange problem with the 2.0 A3 2006? Mine broke in the parking lot dumping all the coolant and car has been in shop 10 days.
Audi doesn't have the parts. 100 units are backordered. I spoke with Audi, no recall yet...let them know if you are having these issues...so far my dealer has seen 3 just lately.
Also, does anyone know where to find a parts list for the A3 2.0? I found a couple of these flanges for A4 2.0 and wonder if they are the same part.
Thanks!

Wow, that really sucks!

I haven't heard locally of anyone with that issue, but it doesn't sound good if your shop has seen multiple instances already. My guess is the A4 flange is different or it would have the same part number. The A4 2.0T is longitude mounted engine opposed to our transverse mounted A3's.

Keep us updated.

Cheers!

the should be the same flanges because they are mostly the same engine apart from how they sit in there,
you could measure them up

Cooling flange update..got my car back and the dealer managed to get one from a local VW dealer. It really didn't break, just warped the hosse connection due to all the weight put on this part by all the hoses they also connect!.
I reality, they could have just replaced the o-ring and it would have been fine, but whatthe heck,
itis only a $28. part and it was already out of the car. Final bill...$300 to tow from MA to ME, Audi only covered 15 miles and I don't trust the local dealer. $568.00 for the parts and labor including a new temp sensor, hose, flange and o-ring and new coolant. Dealer promises a free oil change in exchange for the full tank of gas I returned
the loaner with.
Real solution if for Audi to redesign the part so that the mounting holes are equidistant to the hose connection. The way this flange is built, the mounting holes are on the lower half of the circumfrance and won't support the weight properly....am getting one cnc'd out of aluminum for the next time this happens.
