Hi, I have an 03 reg A3 1.9TDi sport, driving along yesterday with the heater selected to blow out at the foot weels, which it was doing when all of a sudden it just stopped coming out. Tried the selector and it is working correctly, it sounds as if the air is just being blown out behind the console ? Anyone had any experience of this in the past ?

 

Im not sure if this is exactly what your expierencing but ive noticed when I turn the heater on it doesn't come out of the top 2 center vents on my car only the top left (by the drivers side window) and to the right (pass. window) and at the feet. I just recently got my air conditioning replaced because of a broken compresser and that was the only time I really used my heater because for one, I live in southern california and two, my A/C only put out hot air because of the broken compressor. It might just be how its designed but ill check today when im driving to see if it still does the same with the new A/C.

I have a 08 A3 3.2 and I was just wondering.... Seems like i get no air out of the center two vents in heating mode. just the sides.
anyone have an answer?

 

Same with me. I have not played with it to much but I would suspect that it is part of the design.

 

Yea, I checked with my new A/C it must just be how its designed :-/

 

Cold day here again and checked out the center vents and they do work. The button between the foot and window buttons must be on to blow warm air.[sm=signs007.gif]
