After the recent cold spell the rear wiper motor on my 04 - A3 is leaking washer fluid and is now running continusly - I guess something has burst inside.
I have seen some repair kits for older cars, does anyone know if one is available for this model and is it practical to try this or should I just change it completey (eitrhyer second hand or new)
I have not taken the motor off the car yet so any advice would be great.

 

I would suspect that you have used water & not washer additive which contains antifreeze ,hence the water in the fluid passage in the washer motor has fractured causing leaks. undo the trims at the rear & get someone to operate the washer to identify the leaks. May need to replace the whole of the motor assembly as the nozzle is a possible suspect. Hope this helps. regards np1974np
