they're selling the a3 sedan and cabrio(possibly) in the states but not the hatchback. does anybody know why?

 

Americans don't like hatchbacks, apparently. Or at least, that's what the so-called experts say.

 

If you drive anywhere in San Diego, and you look left, then right you will see an A3.

Seriously, there are that many.

Also, Mazda, BMW, Subaru. VW etc... all have massive amounts of wagons on the road. Yes, Audi calls ours a sport back, but it is a wagon.
