Default A3's With Portable NAV Units

I just won a Garmin 350 at a software conference and was wondering how/where others have mounted their portable nav units in their A3's. I did some searching and found 1 thread like this with no replies. So, I figured it was worth posting again.

Show me what you gotplease post some pics of your portable nav setup.

Thanks!

I just use the beanbag mount thingy and just put it on the dash when needed, I am just too paranoid to leave it out in plain view all the time.

I have considered a kuda mount, but just havent pulled the trigger yet.

I just use the included windshield suction mount and remove everything when not in use. I understand that's not legal in all states though.

Id totally get a garmin if my iphone directions werent as good as they are. Theres no point in wasting the crazy price for the built in nav and the bose speakers that people are dissatisfied with.

sd lets sponge it upp sometime

I did a little more searching and found these:

Both seem pretty cool. I also found a guy that used the little weird dash drawer we have as a base for his Garmin suction cup. I may try this and see how stable the thing is.

I use the the card drawer built into the dash, it's a little tricky to get the suction cup on, but it works great! This is the only thing this strange drawer is good for, well I do keep a box of Orbit there when I'm not lost.

be careful cuz those things are HOT items to steal. We all have them in chicago now for work in our rental cars and about 9 have been stolen so far. Fools just smash the windows, take the GPS and scoot....

Here's my set up:
HP rx5915- PocketPc Windows Mobile5 OS. Bluetooth/wifi/GPS. 3.5" screen
mounted on Kuda mount and added a swivel mount- no drilling/ no sticking anything on the dash or windshield. Power cables routed behind the Kudamount.
It has built in TOMTOM, but i loaded up iGuidance nav software (text to speech). I can get live traffic via Googlemaps or MSN Live search- when the HP is connected online bia bluetooth on my ATT 8525 (with unlimited 3G wirless broadband!) Also can watch live tv (from cable tv signal fromhome) via SlingPlayer Mobile. Loaded with other programs- from GPS car speed/acceleration performance, movie and music player, etc.
The iPod you see is mounted in front of the KUDA and can be hidden away in a jiff. LIkewise with the HP, i neverparked with the units in view.
