Hi All,

I have just purchased my first Audi A3 on the drive back from where I purchased it the ABS warning light went on. The light since turned off then on again. I can here a noise from the passenger side of the car when it is having issues.

Do you have any ideas.

obviously a loose connector to the ABS sensor but you need fault codes to confirm that

 

Thanks, I guess I have to take the car to an Audi dealer to get the codes. Can my local garage find out the codes?

 

if your local garage has a code reader that can connect to your ABS computer or has VAG then they could do it for you ( main dealer is always a last resort so look around ) you can drive like that and it wont harm anything because the ABS CEL turns the system off ( which is nice sometimes )

Is the warning light round with brackets either side? I have a 1999 A6 and this light is on. I don't know what it is.

Yes, that is the ABS indicator.

EDIT: Oops, my bad. It is the wear indicator. Hey, brakes is brakes right?
