anybody install a ProClip? Like it / hate it?
Just curious if anyone here has installed the ProClip angled mount for the a3?
Since it appears to be a pinch-fit & hold solution I'm just concerned that it might damage the dash or stereo facade.
Does it fit ok ?
Did it mess with your fit and finish at all?
Just curious....
* here's the link to the install - it looks practically brainless...

I saw that but I doubt a GPS would get good reception in that spot (would need external antenna )
I'm thinking of doing a sticky-mount on the dash below the rear mirror, just above the two HVAC vents

I considered that factor - last roadtrip { as passenger } I played around with various location spots in the car and found that mounted in that spot my Nevu 250w worked just fine. { solid sat. bars in light city bldg.s - 4 stories or less }
Of course - depends on the gps / the reciever systems age/version. Also - I have open sky, it's tinted but not with metallics - if you don't have a the open sky - your options are greatly limited to the dash / windscreen area.
Did you consider the left windscreen pillar? You could probably do a nice mount just above the tweeter and hardwire with a jump right out of a block on the fuse panel... { a spot which I'm still considering }

I just held my TomTom One all over and it worked FINE. Must have been a freak thing last week. I'm going to look into either the "Angled Mount" which you mentioned, or the one that goes near the ashtray, the "ProClip Angled Mount, Low". The low one would avoid a lot of glare I think.
