Audi A3 2.0 Fsi sport HELP!!!
hi guys I have a 53plate Audi A3 2.0 Fsi sport, I've had a fault on my car since I bought it
What the problem is when driving the car it almost feels like I loose power completely pressing the accelerator nothing happens and will free roll for a few metres depending on speed and then suddenly kick back into life ? My first thoughts where something to do with fuel delivery ??? Problem also seems to get worse on long journeys.
Anyone know the problem or even experienced it themselfs?
Thankyou.

check your spark plugs, if they're old they might not be able to produce a strong enough spark to ignite the extra fuel thats being injected when you put your foot down eg: flooding the engine.
Have a look at the condition and check the gaps, they should be a nice matt black to browny colour, if they are wet or dark black then change them.

Thanks for the reply spikem
The car is going in for a service this week and having every filter changed aswell as plugs so hopefully it is that easy
But the problem will happen when I am cruising on the motorway like holding a speed of 70-75mph then suddenly nothing no throttle response and car starts to slow dramatically then all of a sudden it's running fine :S

Okay, that sounds like a fuel pressure problem then. Hopefully Audi will sort it when it gets serviced, sounds like the fuel pump relay might need changed or possible MAF sensor issue, but if theres no engine light on then probably fuel pressure.
