Hi all

Just bought 06 a3. Having a few issues with the heater though. Replaced the resistor to get back all speed settings however i cant change which vents have air blowing through unless i manually reach under and turn a white round thing that then changes through the options ie windscreen or top or feet vents.
Please could someone advise if this should be connected to something and how i go about fixing it ? I notice that a cable connects the temperature up should there be one for the vent directions also?. middle vents dont seem to work at all either only the side ones?>
ideas would be much appreciated as the haynes manual does not have anything on this and its getting a bit cold with just the windscreen being heated up !!
