Smile Audi Insurance

Hello! New member

I've just bought an A3 sportback on finance with Audi. I'm currently covered by their 7 day insurance and they've quoted me a stupid amount for a policy.

They have worried me by saying that I need Audi insurance as they guarantee repairs by an Audi garage and with genuine Audi parts etc etc.

I've only ever had second hand cars before so am nervous, can I insure elsewhere and is there anything to be wary of? I have quotes which are half what Audi have quoted.

Any advice gratefully received.

K

bg, don't drink the Audi kool aid. Get your insurance from any other reputable company. Is the car new? Warranty work is sometimes a hassle but it is "warranty" for a new car. If it's a previously owned car any insurance for repairs is going to be costly and likely not cost effective. Just my opinion, maybe someone else has some insight.

Depending on the price, after a lot of research aftermarket warranties suck. The companies always try not to pay and take forever. I purchased a slightly used 2013 A6 with 9500 miles.

I was able to get an extended factory warranty for just under $2200. I have full coverage of the car for another 6 1/2 years or 70K miles.

Prices are always negotiable. After market warranties are typically double in price over the actual cost, not sure what extended factory warranties is but for 3 1/2 years of "factory" coverage for only $2200 was well worth it to me.

Thanks - yes it's a new car. Even on negotiating Audi can't get near the other quotes I've been given. Decided to stick with my current insurer as that policy expires in August - I'll have plenty of time to shop around for the next one.

It is very important for all Audi owners to have an effective insurance for their car as there may cause any kind of disaster or damage to their car. Such kind of insurance will help to repair their car in free of cost.
