I'm from NJ also I just picked up All State. ( I just bought '02 A4 1.8t the other day full coverage 50,000/100,000, and its my first time being on my own plan) Im 22 and have 2 serious tickets, one from an accident and the other doing 92 in a 65 on the turnpike. My down payment was 180 due right away, and my monthly is 140. I also have a 3.0 gpa (they didn't ask me to verify it) which dropped the price close to 100 bucks a month. Man I feel your pain trying to shop for ins. in NJ its a bitch. The cheapest after all state was geico (270 down payment , 200 month) All the others were rediculous: progressive, liberty, state farm, AIG. My only real advise is to shop around for quotes online; write down all the quote ref #'s, and call to get a solid quote, because the online quotes vary alot from the final.

The rates also go by zip code & other things. What I pay you will not pay.

You have to call & ASK what they will charge you, or go to gico.com and
see what there thing tells you.

I'm thinking NJ & under 25yo, it's going to be expensive.

I do not think that this is a good comparison for ya. These numbers above are quoted on an a4 and not a s4. I lived in nj for 5 years and i never saw my payments go under 1200 every 6 months and iam 27. i have 2 tickets but no points; and this was in a gti. i did not own a s4 when i lived in nj.

summary

NJ = GTI[:'(]
PA = S4

I have a feeling you will be around 2600 - 3000 a year.
