Audi Pure Protection or Easy Care Extended Warranty?
The '06 A3 Quattro that I purchased this week has 44,000 miles on it. I am debating (a) whether to buy an extended warranty; and (b) if so, which one to buy.
After extensive research, I have learned the following:
1. I can purchase an Audi Pure Protection extension of 4 years/48,000 for $2700 with 10% down and 0% financing for 18 months.
2. I can purchase a third-party Easy Care Policy that will extend the coverage for five years or a total of 100,000 miles for $2560 with 10% down and 0% financing for 18 months.
For what it's worth, I only plan to drive the A3 about 8,000 miles per year.
I also need to make this call--if I choose to purchase either plan--BEFORE the car turns 45,000 miles.
Any wisdom you can lend would be most appreciated!

I've been considering this outfit for a 3rd party extended warranty. It appears to be backed by an AA rated insurance company, covers wear & tear and , as near as I can tell is a true bumper to bumper warranty.
I'm waiting till my car has just under 12k miles to purchase as that's when their rate increases.
