This is still an issue. Ordered one last week before ever seeing this thread (why would I ever have to worry about fit on an official Audi product? ). Fits like absolute crap, and no amount of heat is going to fix a product that is simply cut to incorrect dimensions. Very cheap material too - a ripoff for $100. Fortunately the dealer is taking it back no questions asked - thinking about the nylon/rubber one, as people above seem to think it's a better fit. Can anyone confirm this from personal experience?

Gah. This needs to be fixed!!

It wouldn't be so bad if the orginal carpet in the trunk area was of beefier stock, butthe fibers arerather flimsy and the density of the wave sucks.

Hate to mention BMW. But not only is the trunk material thicker/denser, the floor section flips over. One side is fabric, the other is non-slip texturized rubber!

I got the rubber mat for my Lexus and let it lay in the sun a few hours before putting it in - really helped it return to the correct shape.

I ended up getting the Audi carpeted mat for the A3 - and I love it.

I think there is a cargo mat that unfolds out unto the back of the seats if you put the seats down. Otherwise the cargo folds in half. It is essentially a double sided cargo mat. I know my stealership had it but thats about all i know about it...

Is that an Audi item or aftermarket? I found this on VAG but it doesn't have that back part:

That cargo mat you mention above seems ideal for keeping the seatbacks from getting dirty. Anyone got a part# for it?
