Default Audi Trip Computer "problem" ???

So I bought my 2006 Audi A3 2.OT (6-speed manual, Premium Package) in October 2006. I bought it used with 18,000 miles on it.

These cars are very hard to find used, especially when you're picky like me. I am VERY happy with my choice. I love the car.
Oh and it has a chip in it. I'm not sure what chip exactly...but it's fast and fun. I've been meaning to call the guy I bought it from and ask him what chip it has, but would anyone on here know how I could look and find out? I'll still call, I just want to see it if that is not too much trouble.

Anyways (the main point of this thread), I noticed on my trip computer, directly below the display box of the radio/cd track, etc. There is a black line above the red one. Is this supposed to be black? Or is it burned out? Understand what I'm asking?

The two red lines that sepperate the info on the trip display and the top line has a black one driectly over it.

Thanks for the help.

Cheers.

its normal. there's actually two different displays, the upper 1/4 and the lower 3/4 of the display. they all have the small black line between them that you simetimes see.

hey thanks. that's what I was hoping.

I just didn't know for sure...I was not the first owner and didn't see what it looked like when it was driven off the lot.
