A3 2002 Why is my battery always going flat it is a new battery I have had lots of things checked but it still wont hold its charge. If it is not used for a day or two it goes flat.

 

If the battery is known to be good,then something is staying on and drawing down the battery. A light somewhere,an aftermarket stereo or other device,etc. You use an ammeter to see how much current is flowing out of the battery when everything is supposed to be off,and then test each circuit at the fuse box to locate the problem area.

 

I also had problems with the battery in the Audi A3, but I was able to solve them myself thanks to Audi A3 2004 manuals .
