I've been wanting to put some of those brushed aluminum caps on my side mirrors. Is this something that would be economical going through my dealer for parts/install? Is it an easy installation? Would it be wasting money? If so, where is a good place to look?

Don't go through the dealer...it's easy to DIY. Remove the mirror, a few screws, then shimmy off the old mirror cap...then reverse. Good place to look is eBay, where most people have gotten theirs. Brushed aluminum look - go w/ Hagus (sp.)...chrome mirror look - go w/ in.Pro. Hope that helps a bit.

 

Thanks for the advice. I don't have any experience taking apart my car, but it can't be that hard.
