My '07 A3 has a little over 14k miles and I'm running factory all season Pirelli's that have started to cup. The tires perform ok, but they're noisy.(Of course, most of the time I have the stereo so loud it doesn't matter.) Anyway, I was wondering if I had to give up performance to get a quieter ride. Any suggestions? BTW performance isthe priority, but if I could get that with less noise it would benice.

To seriously answer your question; of course you can have both performance and quiet. My Toyo T1-R's have 9k miles of them and are still very quiet. There are several tires that would meet your criteria.
