I'm new to this forum. I just bought a 2007 A3 2.0T, Black, 6M, Open sky and premium. I love the car and I've learned a lot by reading many of the posts on here. I'm considering getting a chip upgrade for my A3 and I've read a lot about that on here. What I'm curious about is what kind of extra wear and tear the upgrade will have on my enging and transmission over time. Obviously that will have a lot to do with driving style, but I was curious about other peoples experiences with chip upgrades and how well their cars fare over time. I ask because I need this car to lastat least 6 years, but I would love another 50hp out of my turbo 4. Any thoughts are appreciated.

 

i chipped my 1.8t and i had to replace the turbo after like 50k
