E-z peeps.... newb today, new to audi ownership on monday....

anyway, i wanted to ask a question about summat my homes said the other day....

he's got a scooby wrx thing, & said its important to let the engine run for a minute before you turn off the ignition when you arrive somewhere etc.... to let the turbo cool down

to be honest, i've forgotten about this a few times already....

is this a really important thing to do? i've only just got the car, & want to keep it for a few years, so any words of wisdom apprieciated!!

new systems mate and don't require a cool down time like the old turbo's

 

excellent.... was worried for a bit, not that i cane it turbo stylee all the time like, i'm just usually in a hurry to get out of the car into work/the house etc, etc...

one less thing to worry about!

you only need to cool a turbo if youve been really driving hard for a while, but if you just drive normally for a few minutes before you turn off the car (normally meaning not redlining, etc, etc) the turbo should be just fine

(what fender strat you got mate? i've got an old (c.1990'ish) sonic blue strat.... havent played it for at least a year tho....)
