Okay, I have the check valve on order, but did you use the 3/4" or 5/8" heater hose? I'll end up doing this next weekend, so I guess that I could take the OEM hose off and use the wife's car to go to the autoparts store if need be. I don't have a boost gauge, but I've notice the car has lost a little ummph that it used to have so I fear that I'm in need of this mod too.

Cheers!

BTW, what was the chatter about the "c" DV failing too???

I used 3/4" with hose clamps. I think this is the most secure.

The C valve is a def improvement. However, with a stage2 car you will possibly rip it as well. But the B is def a weak link and should be replaced on any chipped car. IMO.

p.s. I have the C, just didn't install it yet.

I've already replaced the DV with the "C" version. I just don't want to be replacing the DV every year and I thought the "C" was considerably stronger. I wonder what DV they are using on the Euro S3?

I hear that! You may be ok. After all, the C - dv, is much stronger than the B. Are you stg1 or 2. ?

Just completed the Mod after it took McMaster Carr more than 2 weeks to ship my part. I also had oil throughout the tube and in the CCV. I have the boost gauge on the way so I can't tell how much pressure I was losing, but I'm looking forward to the drive in to work tomorrow. Very very easy install.

ok, did the PCV mod today also, it's kind hard to get that 3/4" hose into that engine slot. as for trying it out, obviously, i don't have a gauge, so i used my feeling, my sister was in the car with me when i gassed it hard after the mod, with my sister sitting in the car, the car "now" pulled as hard as it did before the mod and driving by myself. can't wait to test the car without a passenger tomorrow. although one time on second gear after the mod, it kinda lost the push for a split second at around 4000 rpms, maybe the car is just adjusting to the valve. oh by the way, i had to modify my engine cover AGAIN so that it'll fitwith the new valve.

now............ gotta figure out how to get the the C version DV in.

I just did the pvc fix saturday, my boost is still down. It spikes at 18 psi but doesn't hold, it still drops down to 15 or16.[]

Joe,

You might want to go back and get your car logged again. Check the APR boost, timing, and fuel levels. The other place that I noticed my car was a little loose and losing boost is just past the boost gauge, the rubber connection to the engine block. Seems like a poor fitting with the hard plastic piece and the removable rubber seal inside.

Happy New Year!
