Default DIY: stereo speaker change-out.

Hi. Sadly, I'm not in love with the Symphony stereo sound.
I was wondering if anyone has changed their tweeter & door speakers?

Thanks

converted,

Was your speaker replacement on a Bose system?

Did you replace all ten speakers, or just the woofer-tweeter sets in each corner?

What was required to remove the original door speakers?

Thanks.
I'm looking atswapping them out myself.I haven't done a full taste test yet on what brand I'm going to plug in.
Is the door depth2" inches? I popped off the cover and I noticed that the screws are not accessable and you have may have to take off the door panel. Hopefully its easier than that.

I didn't realize that the Symphony implied Bose. I do not have the Bose system. I can say that in order to get the speakers out of the door you will have to remove the door panels.

I bought and installed two sets of these.

You will need to use the wiring option for less treble otherwise they are too bright.

I'm sure the 6.5" went in easily (once you got the door panel off!) with the crutchfield bracket they include. I'm concerned about the tweeter - Crutch says this: "No direct replacements available. Your factory tweeter doesnโ€™t match any aftermarket size exactly. Call us for details about available space in your factory locations for custom mounting."

Did you have to modify anything? How bad was the total installation? Does it still look stock? Sound better? Am I getting annoying yet?
