You're going to spend over $500 to get a louder exhaust? Just have a muffler shop remove your muffler and replace it with a loud one. Might cost you $50.

The -10 - +10 horsepower difference is probably not going to be noticeable (yes, I said negative 10. Many air handling mods like intakes, headers and exhausts can end up lowering horsepower. Don't hear that much at the mod shop, tho). Unless you're upgrading the turbo, I wouldn't bother with a new exhaust. Christ, especially on a lease.

Yes, I do hear a lot " why do you want to do all this on a lease" but, i dont even know if they will let me do exhaust, i should know in a few days. also, im trying not to put a whole lot of money into it because it is a lease. But i mean i want to enjoy my car and love driving it which i do and do the little things i can on a lease to make it that much for fun. why drive a bone stock car just because your on a lease when you can do little things to make it more fun to drive?

I agree, just because you're on a lease doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy the car. You can always sell the exhaust when you return the car. When I sold my last vehicle, I pulled all the mods + stereo equipment and sold it all; bought me a boost gauge and head unit for the A3, plus a trip to NYC. Not bad for 'found money.'

Being that you're on a lease though, I would avoid having a shop cut your muffler off and weld a new one in; that might be a little bit more of a sticky issue with your dealer. Definitely go with a model-specific exhaust so you can bolt the stocker back on later with no damage.

Yea, i plan to sell the things i put into it also.

Yea plus isnt cutting the muffler illegal anyways? would be a pain to replace because the cops are **** around where i live. Hopefully the dealer is cool about getting new exhaust ill have to see

Cutting the catalytic converter off is illegal, cutting the muffler and replacing it with an aftermarket part is not (unless you're breaking sound ordinances).
