DSG Recall: Additional damage caused by bad unit?
So I brought the car in today. Had them do the 55k service ($350) in addition to the mechatronics unit replacement. I asked the lady in the service department if they found any damage to adjacent parts. The lady told me that this was not an issue as this was a problem that a small number of owners actually had and that the replacement was done as a courtesy. As my car experienced symptoms of the bad unit should I call back an be more insistent about them looking for additional damage caused by the bad mechatronics unit?

The symptoms people were experiencing were PRNDS flashing and the car not moving. Yours was just probably out of calibration, which they should have fixed when they changed the mechatronics.
You have 45,000 more miles of warranty on that DSG, so you should not worry about it.
