My dealership just called requesting i bring my 07 A4 in for a recall repair. Didnt say what it was- anyone else know why our A4's are being recalled?

 

Major recall is the Coil Packs which go bad very frequently. Basically almost Every Audi / VW is having all the defective coils recalled. You have to wait until you get the letter or call as they are not doing them all at the same time. Hopefully that is what you got as you need this done. I had 2 go bad within 1,000 mile on my VW at 27k miles (3 weeks apart). Funny enough my A4 with 70K plus has not had one fail yet. They will though.

 

Please let us know what the racall is about when you find out so that way we all know what to expect and not to waste money on

 

just got the call from the dealership for the coil packs, they have to see what coilpacks i have on there to determine if i need new ones. I just bought the car (07) a week ago, you figure they wouldnmt have to waste my time and would have done this before i bought it...
