hey everyone just joined and thought i'd say hello.

im from the uk and im picking up my A3 1.8t sport on sunday.

just wanted to ask a quick question the car has had a dump valve fitted to it and i've read somewhere that its not good for them? can anyone please tell me whether it is ok or best taken off or whatever.

and im pretty sure the dump valve fitted is a bailey recirculating one. as bailey manafacture this for this car could one presume it is ok?

a recirculating valve should b aright. my mechanic who specializes in audis says that dump valves really dont make the car run rich or whatever so i wouldnt worry about it too much unless u start having noticable problems.

 

Yeah I don't believe your mechanic. So many people here and on all the forums against them. They really just don't go with Audi's (maybe Honda's).

 

See i want fitted to mine, i like the noise! Any Tips on which brand or anything etc to go for?

Dude its bad for your car, why would you want to **** up a new car just for a sound thats stupid inthe first place, det a recirc or Diverter valve ****
