Default ecu flash: apr, giac, revo, etc....

help me decide. i have '10 A3 2.0t with 1,500miles on the odometer and debating which ecu flash to get.

if you guys can tell me your experience with which ever flash you got would be great.

also, what are the negatives to having the flash...if any.

thanks guys!

I have GIAC that's been turned off so it will go thru the dealer for service. I haven't been able to access it with the control module to turn it back on. There is no dealer within 300 miles so I have just let it be for the last 30,000 miles. Hardly a recomendation, just my experience. I wouldn't do this mod on a car under warranty, as the dealer could give you a hard time about it.

I got the REVO stage 1 and didnt have any issues with service or warranty. Ive also i just installed in a turbo back exhaust and intake and plan on getting the Revo Stage 2. The stage 1 definitely smoothed out the drive and made it a good amount quicker. Im really looking forward to the stage 2 upgrade.

Smile a litle help for uuu

ay pjunk1 i got a 2009 a3 with an APR stage 1 tune ,,, taking me from the sock settings of 200 hp and 207trq i now sit at 286 hp and 307trq my car is ALL stock no down pipe from turbo back ... notthinnnng jus the tune and i have the s tronic 6spd... and i peeeeeeeel tires all the way to 5th .. and this is off a stage 1 of 3.. To be honest anyy flash o ur ecu will automatically void any dealership warranty once they use a vagcom they will know about the tune n u loose it all. so i suggest wait till ur warranty is up then tune till ur hearts content... but believe me APR all the way.

those are some crazy numbers. a lot more than their advertised numbers. how is that possible??? what type of fuel you using?

yeah, i've decided to wait a bit before the flash. apr doesn't have an obd port install for the '10 yet; all they have is straight solder onto ecu. so, i'm waiting til they do.
