Hi,

I bought an A3 2.0T FSI Sportback four months ago, and it's a dream!

I've driven about 8600km, and I need to top up with some oil.

What oil would you-all recommend?

Has anyone used Havoline synthetic? or Castrol's synthetic oil?

i go to the great audi mechanic who's had 25 years of Audi experience, he recomends and ONLY recomends Mobil1(5000) sythetic and that's what he uses for my A3!!!

 

I'll agree with Nam. In my last TDI I only used Mobil 1 synthetic and it was the best. That will be my regiment when the car hits 50k and I'm doing all of the changes myself.

 

Go synthetic,

Be sure to note the oil weight. From what I remember it was 10w40, which was pretty hard to find in Mobile1 synthetic. I think I went with V-something

 

mobil 1 and when you gonna change the oil. 8600. your coming up on the time to do that aren't you? but mobil 1 deffinatly. also as for the weight just look in your owners manual.
