Hi

I have an A3 1.8t 2002 8p model. My engine stalls when slowing down to stop or slowing down to turn. It does not happen all the time , but most times. (hope i'm being clear there).I am however able to start again. The exhaust fumes all smell very strong now and it seems the car is using more fuel now. Please can someone tell me the cause of this as I would like to sort it out.
