Default oil

Been running mobile 1 since I bought my A3 S-line.... seems my A3 likes to eat about a quart every 5K miles but seems to run just fine. I spend about $6 a quart.

The handbook says Mobile 1 or Castrol per the VW spec. Yea it's expensive. And I personally wouldn't get cheap on this one.

Yes do NOT use conventional oil. It will cost you way more in the long run. Trust me, I've seen the results of non-synthetic oil and the resulting sludge and it's not pretty, or cheap to repair! Also, please don't cheap out on the filter either, also have seen what a cut rate filter can cause.

Any advice as to whether this is good for my car? '06 2.0T DSG
